Five stars all around for Artisan Optical! From the moment I walked in, I felt genuinely welcomed. The shop itself is charming, and the adorable shop dog was such a sweet and unexpected bonus that instantly made the experience even better. The eye doctor was incredibly thorough and patient, making sure to answer every single one of my questions. He took the time to explain each step of the process and clearly walked me through everything he was seeing, which made me feel informed and completely at ease. I’ve been to many eye doctors over the years, but he has quickly become a personal favorite. I truly cannot recommend him or Artisan Optical enough an outstanding experience from start to finish. ~ Mary

Chose Artisan Optical on a whim, my previous optician stopped doing eye exams since i went to them last. Artisan Optical is a wonderful duo I was seen by Dr. Jensen and he took great care of me. I'm a curious person, and asked a bunch of questions regarding my optical health which he answered with care and depth. Alicia was a wonderful person to chat with, and she handled helping choose a pair of frames, I'm recently out as trans-femm and wanted help deciding frames to help me feel more correct in myself. She did a wonderful job helping me choose beautiful frames that fit my price range. They're both wonderful people and I will be going back each time I need to re-up on contacts or for my yearly. ~ UltraViolet V

This store is nothing short of AMAZING! The customer service and frame selection are among the best you will find in Colorado! They only carry independent brands and they know how to fit them. Alicia is a master in the craft and can take one look at you and come up with multiple options that are perfect! As a major eyewear collector, I didn't think I had many if any gaps in my collection, but Alicia found a few and immediately filled them with some awesome new frames! Additionally, I had been questioning a prescription I received from another optician, so Dr Jensen did a quick (unscheduled) exam and confirmed they were correct. You just rarely find service this outstanding. If you are on the hunt for your next glasses that will draw tons of compliments, this should absolutely be on your short list of places to visit! ~ Seth F

Artisan Optical was a completely different experience than the big stores, like LensCrafters and Pearle. Alicia took the time to sit and talk about what I needed. As a licensed optician (vs. the unlicensed assistants at other stores), she quickly diagnosed why my prior lenses weren't working for my daily use. And since they aren't a "big box," Artisan doesn't have a limited number of frame suppliers that they have to focus on. They were wide open to getting the frame that worked best for me. Alicia adjusted and tightened my glasses perfectly, and Dr. Jensen nailed my prescription without any hurry. So nice to have glasses that are just right! ~ Jim S

Very professional. Use to go to Americas Best for my vision needs, when I went to Artisan Optical, Marty found that my glasses and contacts prescription was incorrect, the correction to my prescription was an immediate relief. I was also able to get my prescription safety glasses for work as well. The experience at Artisan has made me a life time customer. I will not go anywhere else for my vision needs. The value of the service and knowledge of the staff greatly out weighs what is paid for. I refer my coworkers to Artisan for safety glasses, and encourage them to use Artisan for all of their vision needs. Artisan Optical definitely deserves more than 5 stars. ~ Jason P

This office is amazing, Dr. Jensen is the owner of this local, private optometry practice, and the difference is obvious. He spent a full hour with me doing a comprehensive eye exam and explaining all of his findings in as much detail as I wanted, he has the latest technology, and is super friendly as well. He even took time to help me choose some frames that he thought would fit my face well, along with his optician. If you want to go to a large corporate owned facility where you will be quickly herded through like cattle and get cheap limited options, by all means try your luck. But if you are willing to pay a some extra cash to get exceptional and personalized first class care and truly high quality artisan style frames from around the globe with a very experienced and caring optometrist, come out and support this small locally owned business and see the difference for yourself! ~ Jonathan B

Dr Jensen is the first optometrist I have seen in several years who was able to provide me with glasses that give me clear vision. I have difficult eyes to refract, so I especially appreciated his patience and persistence in getting it right. In my case, it required some “out of the box” adjustments, which he was willing to try at no additional cost to me if they didn’t work. Alicia, the office optician, helped with expertly fitting the glasses and with effective communication between Dr. Jensen and me. The office also has some of the most stylish frames anywhere in Denver. I cannot recommend Artisan Optical more highly. ~ Debby L

You will not find a better optometrist or better staff. My father has a language difficulty that makes it very hard for him to follow exams and answer questions properly. He has had a couple of incorrect prescriptions over the past two years and I learned this year was also struggling with double vision. Dr. Jensen and Alicia spent a lot of time ensuring his responses tracked, his vision was corrected and his glasses/frames worked well for him. My dad has been so happy with his now 20/20 vision without seeing double, he called it a miracle the other day. This is a wonderful team, both kind and smart. Very highly recommend. ~ Timothy C

I totally recommend artisan optical!!! They have so many options in eyewear...the lighting in the store is perfect for viewing and the opticians pete and alicia are so knowledgeable and helpful selecting the perfect glasses for your face. I wasnt due for an eye exam but was able to meet with Dr Jensen and will definitely be choosing him for all future exams. So knowledgeable and super nice!!! I had my new glasses in less than 2 weeks and i love them!!! They are perfect for me...the lenses must be extra high quality because my vision has never been so great!!! I'm well over due on this review, but I wanted to post: This place is fantastic, professional, and speedy. I had to get some new glasses before leaving for school, based out the state. They took extra time and went the extra mile to assist, and gave me these cute, unique, fun green glasses with a little lock detail. They even accounted for how I wear them and how they sit on my face so the lenses were cut to where my pupil naturally rests! I haven't ever had that service before, so it was so nice to have it included. Really made a difference. They also have a lovely little dog, overall phenomenal business, highly recommend! ~ Taylor G

Wow, an awesome new business on Broadway with a terrific staff and trendy high quality eyewear. Stopped in for a quick check-up and walked out with a pair of SALTS and a pair of Wiley X. Very impressed with their eyewear quality, didn't realize I was seeing the world through a hazy lens. Dr. Jensen is great, understands patient needs, and creates a relaxed environment for the exam. Eye health is highest priority, as is finding the best corrective eyewear and offering professional vision care advice. Pete was amazing and very knowledgeable of AO's quality product line. Easy to work with, experienced opinions and suggestions, and your new eyewear will fit and look awesome. Alicia was also very helpful and easy to work with. What a team....you won't be disappointed!! I’ve been looking for an eyewear store and an optician for months and I think I have hit the jackpot. Dr. Martin Jensen and his staff at Artisan Optical are some of the most knowledgeable and kind people I have ever encountered. Their frame selection is next to none offering frames from across the globe as well as that customer service that makes you feel right at home. If you have an opportunity to have an Eye exam done by Dr. Jensen I promise you that you will feel the warmth and hospitality he brings to this optical as well as knowledge about your eyes you have never heard or experienced from other opticians. ~ Brighton N

Great experience. I am very picky when it comes to my eyes and eyeglasses, and a friend recommended Artisan Optical. I had some mediocre eye doctor experiences in Colorado the past few years and Artisan Optical was a welcome change. Professional, informative, incredibly clean office, and a great selection of interesting frames and brands. I bought 2 different pairs, and they were very patient with me and really gave me options as I was in the transition to getting a new type of prescription involving more like a bifocal lenses/ transition in the lower lenses to reading. I just moved into the area and decided to try this optometrist for convenience as it was close by, but wow am I glad I discovered this place! Amazing experience from start to finish. Huge thanks to Dr. Jensen - The eye exam was the most informative and thorough exam I have had, and helped me learn and understand my sight (or lack of!). They also have the best selection of frames and Alicia took her time to help me choose a style that suits me that I was happy with. Wow, the best eyecare ever! My wife has been here several times, and I wish all doctors were as thorough, thoughtful, and up-to-date in their practice as Dr. Jensen. He does a great job listening and takes the patient seriously, not to mention being full of helpful insights and practical industry-specific knowledge. I will definitely be switching to Artisan Optical for my eyecare needs from now on, even in spite of having to drive quite a bit more compared to my current optometrist. I won't go anywhere else in Denver for my eye care! Dr. Jensen was awesome with my eye exam. Quick and efficient, explained the purpose of each test, and answered all my questions. My eyes are sensitive and tear up easily and he was always patient with me. I also really enjoyed all of Pete's help picking out some new glasses! He has a great eye for what would look good on you. He also quickly helped re-adjust the current pair I was wearing and they are far more comfortable now. Artisan Optical was great! I needed new lenses for my beloved and over-priced priced glasses, and not only did Alicia quote a price on the line, she encouraged me to shop around, and the best price turned out to be Artisan Optical. Getting the replacement lenses was effortless, and I loved being able to work with Alicia, who handled all aspects of the measurements and installation. Absolutely the best optometrist I have ever visited. Dr. Jensen has the best technology to diagnose and treat eye conditions. He had all sorts of super cool machines to show me exactly how the inside and back of my eye looked and what he is looking for with early diagnosis of both treatable and non-treatable eye disorders. I have never had a doctor spend so much time explaining detailed information. His selection of eye glasses is also amazing. I chose some eye glasses made in California- one of the last spectacle companies that makes their frames in the USA. Absolutely must go here. ~ Luke J

The experience at Artisan Optical is second to none. My eyes started changing in the last couple of years and now I have a prescription where I see 20/15 and my glasses are amazing and unique and fun. I love picking out my glasses to go with my different outfits and I get stopped on the streets about how stylish they are! You will see no other product like this anywhere else and the customer service was and is amazing. I loved my visit here! Alicia is friendly and easy to talk to, Dr. Jensen let me know every step and the reasons behind it. No eye blasts of air! He has a new device that was way easier, which definitely calmed my anxiety around the exam. It had been easily a decade since I've had my vision checked and this went well. Loved my appointment with Artisan Optical! Marty is an amazing Dr and has state of the art modern equipment and great knowledge of eyes and an easy Dr to talk to. Alica has an amazing sense of style and can fit anyone with the perfect glasses. They know how to explain all sorts of different glasses and lenses and found just what I was looking for a special progressive lenses for the cockpit when I fly, one for sunny days,and one for night. Artisan Optical was hands down, the best experience I’ve had with an eye doctor! My exam was thorough and personalized- I’ve never had someone take the time to explain to me about my eye health. I cannot say enough about the amazing team and service at Artisan Optical! About a month ago, my boyfriend had stopped in to get his glasses fixes after sitting on them accidentally, and Alicia jumped right in and helped him with the broken nose bridge -- immediately and at no cost! We could not believe how nice everyone was. Because of this, I ended up going back to purchase brand new glasses with them the following week. I must say, I have NEVER had such a smooth process and service in purchasing glasses before! I loved that they had a wide range of styles -- and a lot of more unique and interesting international brands. Once I picked one out that I liked, they were incredibly informative and patient as I asked several questions about my confusing insurance plan. They even walked me through every cost breakdown and helped me to maximize my benefits. I received the glasses super quickly within a week or two, and they even offered to make any adjustments to the prescription if I needed to make sure they were exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend this place! The doctor is passionate about his profession and goes above and beyond to explain everything to you. The glasses are progressive, fashionable, and reasonably priced styles. I've never seen such modern and stylish frames (even artsy unbreakable frames from Germany!) Skip the big chains and companies, this is a quality experience that you'll enjoy. Lovely assistant as well! Super helpful and kind people, and my glasses were ready in 5 days. ~ B
