Artisan Optical is an optometrist office located on South Broadway in the historic Baker neighborhood of Denver, CO. Our optical was founded to offer patients and clients a truly unique experience in eyecare. The industry has become dominated by large corporations and insurance companies restricting consumer choices, resulting in the deterioration of product quality and service. We have partnered with the highest quality, independent frame lines and use the most technically advanced lenses to provide the best eyeglasses at a fair price. Our lines include Mykita, Raen, Orgreen, Lafont, LA Eyeworks, Blackfin, Coexist, Wiley X and additional lines of the highest craftsmanship. This store is nothing short of AMAZING! The customer service and frame selection are among the best you will find in Colorado! They only carry independent brands and they know how to fit them. Alicia is a master in the craft and can take one look at you and come up with multiple options that are perfect! As a major eyewear collector, I didn't think I had many if any gaps in my collection, but Alicia found a few and immediately filled them with some awesome new frames! Additionally, I had been questioning a prescription I received from another optician, so Dr Jensen did a quick (unscheduled) exam and confirmed they were correct. You just rarely find service this outstanding. If you are on the hunt for your next glasses that will draw tons of compliments, this should absolutely be on your short list of places to visit! ~ Seth F
This office is amazing, Dr. Jensen is the owner of this local, private optometry practice, and the difference is obvious. He spent a full hour with me doing a comprehensive eye exam and explaining all of his findings in as much detail as I wanted, he has the latest technology, and is super friendly as well. He even took time to help me choose some frames that he thought would fit my face well, along with his optician. If you want to go to a large corporate owned facility where you will be quickly herded through like cattle and get cheap limited options, by all means try your luck. But if you are willing to pay a some extra cash to get exceptional and personalized first class care and truly high quality artisan style frames from around the globe with a very experienced and caring optometrist, come out and support this small locally owned business and see the difference for yourself! ~ Jonathan B
Very professional. Use to go to Americas Best for my vision needs, when I went to Artisan Optical, Marty found that my glasses and contacts prescription was incorrect, the correction to my prescription was an immediate relief. I was also able to get my prescription safety glasses for work as well. The experience at Artisan has made me a life time customer. I will not go anywhere else for my vision needs. The value of the service and knowledge of the staff greatly out weighs what is paid for. I refer my coworkers to Artisan for safety glasses, and encourage them to use Artisan for all of their vision needs. Artisan Optical definitely deserves more than 5 stars. ~ Jason P

We carry a wide range of stylish and designer frames, as well as affordable options to suit every budget.
Where are you located and is there parking available?
We’re conveniently located in Baker neighborhood of Denver, CO. There is meter parking available right outside our office on Broadway.
What’s the difference between an optometrist and an ophthalmologist?
Optometrists (like us) provide routine eye care, prescriptions, and treat many eye conditions. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors who perform eye surgery and handle complex eye diseases.
Can I get my frames repaired at Artisan Optical?
Definitely! We understand accidents happen, and we're here to help. Bring in your broken or bent frames, and we'll do our best to get them looking like new again!
